Boxwood C clarinet with ivory bands and six patent brass keys, signed "(crown between garlands) / GOULDING D'ALMAINE / & CO / SOHO SQUARE / LONDON" made by James Wood c.1810. Length 58.0cm. Left and right hand joints brass lined, all the holes covered by keys are brass lined (Wood's Patent #2381). Original mouthpiece signed "J.WOOD FECIT"
Repaired crack to lower bell ivory band, old repaired crack to mouthpiece. Chips of wood off lower bell. Recently repadded.
