Ebony C clarinet with ivory bands and thirteen silver keys, signed "WOOD'S / PATENT // Wood & Ivy (cursive) / LATE / Geo Wood (cursive) / NEW COMPTON STR / 50 / SOHO / LONDON" also signed on the E/B & F#/C# keys "WOOD'S / PATENT" made c.1840. Length 56.5cm. Metal tuning slide between barrel and upper joint. Mouthpiece cover in ebony with ivory band.
Crack in upper joint and barrel. Crack to one ivory ring. Repaired cracks to ivory ring on mouthpiece cover.
