Cocuswood oboe with nine silver keys, on pillars on crescent shaped plates, signed "(barbican-tower with three merlons) / TRIEBERT / A PARIS" made c.1830. Length 56.5cm. In original fitted case, leather covered with gilt decoration and cut steel handle, chamois leather interior with original wire handled swab.
In very good original condition showing almost no use, it must have been kept in this case since manufacture. Needs repad and new corks to be playable.

Ebony oboe with silver keywork, signed "BREVETE / (treble clef) / NONON / PARIS" made c.1855. length 56.3cm. An example of Jacques Nonon's 1854 Patent.
Recently repadded. One repaired crack in bell and one short (0.7cm long) repaired hairline crack in upper joint. A beautifully made elegant oboe in very good original condition, the name stamps retain the original gilding.

Cocuswood oboe with maillechort keywork, signed "BREVETE / (tower) / TRIEBERT / A PARIS" made c.1900. Length 57.5cm. In original(?), chamois leather lined, mahogany box.
In good condition. Basically a Triebert "Systeme 6" with some difference made by the maker with some later changes and additions by a less skilled hand. With paper explaining the changes.

Illustration and description of this model "Modele Reglementaire adopte par les Musiques Militaires" from "Manufacture General d'instruments de musique... Gautrot Aine et Cie, Couesnon et Cie Successeurs" c.1890. Gautrot took over Triebert in 1881, then was taken over by Couesnon c.1885.

Cocuswood Boehm system oboe with silver keywork, signed "GA (monogram) / GAUTROT-MARQUET / PARIS / BREVETE S.G.D.G. / 1788" made c.1865. length 53.2cm. Medium bore with very large fingerholes.
In very good original condition, needs repad to be playable.

Cocuswood Boehm system oboe with maillechort keywork, unsigned but made in France c.1880. Length 54.0cm. Model with large bore without any flare at the bell, medium sized fingerholes, enabling playing louder than the standard oboe.
In original condition, damage to top of bell joint, needs overhaul to be playable. Well made elegant keywork, probably an orchestral model.

African blackwood Sharpe system oboe with german silver keywork, signed on a metal ring at the top of the bell "J.SHARPE PUDSEY NR LEEDS" made by John Sharpe (fl a1880-c1905) in England c.1890. Length 56.8cm. In original fitted case.
In good original condition, needs overhaul to be playable. A curious fingering system, the right hand joint derived from the Boehm system with some additional keys, the left hand joint influenced by Triebert with a thumb plate and automatic octaves.

In good original condition, needs overhaul to be playable. A complex fingering system with floating levers.

Brass contre-basse a anche made by and branded "(crowned circle) / C.MAHILLON / BRUXELLES / 28" made c.1850. Height 105.5cm.
To be playable needs a complete overhaul. Overall in good original condition with two large dents on one upright tube. The metal is in good condition, without splits.

In original fitted case with grease box and reed case, with three old reeds. The keywork system is basically a Triebert "système 6" with some additional features from the Gillet Conservatoire model.
Needs repad to be playable, open crack in bell.
